Valentines Day cards for my lovely boyfriend. Also started a Stop animation in another project any tips or stop animations you think I could get inspiration from would be much appreciated.

experimentation

hello :D so I've been trying to refresh my memory on photoshop with colouring etc and i just did this one quickly from a drawn sketch book page and I thought I'd share.

The Wind Up

Recently  I've been trying to do quick 3-4 day briefs in order to see what I can do in a short period of time. I decided to do a book cover. I just chose a name for it at random, of anything I was thinking about at the time. so I chose a few title's and did some preliminary sketches. This is the final one that I came up with. I ended up quite liking the title so may make it into a short zine.

love match brief

This was a short editorial brief that I did recently. I tried using a bit of Photoshop with hand drawn out lines. there's a few things I want to adapt but this is the almost finished version.

The editorial was basically about different on-line dating sites and what they offered this is my title image.

The first site the article mentions is the beautifulpeople.net so I did a sketch of Brad Pitt and adapted in Photoshop, I'm still a bit of a beginner on Photoshop but I quite liked the out come.

The boat image was simply for a sailing website and was fun to draw.

The next image was created for the vegan/vegetarian on-line forum this one was probably the easiest one to do and the one I liked best at the end. Also really looking forward to the live art show going on at lamp on Thursday in Hull. Hopefully a nice Xmas Blog next week.

jewellery

I've been trying out some different ways of making jewellery. I started by compiling drawing's of things I would like to wear or hang in my house.  I wanted to keep it quite simple. I started by trying to make them out of crystal-clear resin that apparently dries in 24 hours. It does not! So I moved on to scanning in my drawings and making vector files so I could laser cut them and this is how they turned out. I've got to say it was pretty fun using a laser cutter :D

I finally got some business cards ordered from moo I really hope they turn out ok.

 :-) just so I have them to hand out and put on any stalls I do in future.
